From Your INFINITI Dealer: Navigating the 2024 INFINITI Warranty

Your INFINITI is designed and built to the highest standards using the finest materials available. Its superior construction is matched by one of the best auto warranties available. As your INFINITI dealer, we want to tell you about some of the essential features of your 2024 INFINITI warranty.

Basic Coverage

This warranty covers most components and systems in your INFINITI. The only exceptions are components and systems covered by the other warranties below and any specifically excluded situations. All exclusions are explained in your warranty booklet and include situations like damage caused by the use of unauthorized parts, lack of maintenance, or accidental damage.

Coverage extends for four years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Any repairs necessary to correct a situation covered by warranty will be performed by INFINITI-trained technicians using INFINITI-approved parts.

Powertrain Coverage

The powertrain consists of the engine, transmission, drivetrain, and supplemental restraint system. If your INFINITI has a transaxle, this warranty also covers its components. All internal components in these systems are protected against any material or labor-related defect. This warranty applies for six years or 70,000 miles.

Corrosion Coverage

Corrosion is an ever-present danger for unprotected metal. All body and sheet metal panels in your INFINITI are specially treated against corrosion during the manufacturing process. Corrosion protection only ever needs to be reapplied to body metal damaged in a collision. If corrosion develops despite manufacturer-applied protection, the affected metal will be replaced at no charge.

Body or sheet metal panels are considered damaged by corrosion if a hole appears in any panel that penetrates the metal from one side to the other. Protection is applicable for seven years and unlimited mileage.

Towing Coverage

If your INFINITI can't be driven due to a warranty-related issue, free towing to the nearest dealership is available.

Adjustment Coverage

Adjustments are defined as any necessary corrections that don't involve replacing parts. Examples include tire balancing, wheel alignment, and timing belt tensioning. Any adjustments will be made for free during the first year or 12,000 miles. I-key and fob batteries are also included in this coverage. Replacement wiper blades are covered for the first six months.

Seat Belt Coverage

Your seatbelts and all components in the seat belt system are protected for the first ten years and have unlimited mileage.

Brake Products Limited Warranty

Your braking system, including the brake pads, calipers, and rotors, is protected against any unforeseen issues for three years or 36,000 miles. Normal wear and tear is excluded, as is any damage caused due to lack of required repairs or accidents.

From Your INFINITI Dealership: Some Essential Fluids That Require a Fluid Check

A fluid check is part of your regular maintenance schedule. Your INFINITI has numerous fluids, each of which performs an important role in the smooth operation of your vehicle. As your INFINITI dealership, we want to tell you about some fluids we test and why they're important. Engine Oil Engine oil is pumped through your engine by the oil pump and lubricates numerous components, which protects them against friction damage. The oil's movement helps reduce engine temperature by cooling the components it passes over, and oil additives keep the engine clean, break down engine blockages, and prevent rust. more Oil becomes less effective over time as it thickens and slows down. This reduces its lubrication ability, causing increased wear and tear on engine components. Replacing the oil on schedule allows your engine to operate at peak performance. Coolant Coolant is a mixture of antifreeze and water, and it's used to control engine temperature. Combustion generates large amounts of heat, which must be removed to prevent damage to sensitive engine components. The coolant moves through the engine, absorbing heat as it goes, and transports the heat to the radiator, where it's removed by heat exchange. Like oil, coolant becomes slower and thicker over time, reducing its heat-absorption capabilities. Your engine temperature will rise in response. In addition, older coolant can become corrosive and damage the cooling system. Replacing the coolant will bring your engine temperature back to normal. Brake Fluid This fluid provides the hydraulic power required to force the braking system to engage and stop your vehicle when required. It is housed in the brake fluid reservoir and released and pressurized when you hit the brake pedal. Older brake fluid absorbs water. Braking generates heat, and brake fluid that gets hot enough causes the water inside it to boil, and the brake fluid will overheat. Hot brake fluid provides no hydraulic power, and your brakes won't work. Replacing this fluid allows your brakes to operate more effectively as the new fluid is less likely to overheat. Transmission Fluid This fluid serves several functions in the transmission. It provides the hydraulic power that enables the gears to shift smoothly, easily, and silently. It also protects transmission components from friction damage by covering them in a protective coating. Finally, its movement through the transmission helps reduce the temperature, so the transmission can work more effectively. Older transmission fluid proves less hydraulic power, which can lead to gear slipping. It also loses its heat resistance and can burn in the heat of the transmission. Regularly replacing transmission fluid protects the gears from damage and allows them to shift when required.
