Dynamic Digital Suspension (DDS)

When you drive, your vehicle doesn’t just move forward; it tilts from side to side, from forward to back, and up and down. These movements are known as pitch, roll, and bounce, and the suspension’s job is to minimize the effects of these movements to produce a comfortable ride. DDS is an electronically controlled suspension system that actively works to provide the smoothest driving experience possible.

The system uses numerous sensors to monitor pitch, roll, and bounce. This information is continuously supplied to a dedicated computer, which uses it to apply selective dampening by adjusting the suspension as necessary. You can also alter the DDS responsiveness by adjusting it between hard and soft using the Drive Mode Selector. This allows a relaxed, comfortable drive or a more aggressive and agile experience on the road.

Predictive Forward Collision Warning

This system is part of the INFINITI ProPILOT Assist driver assistance suite, which helps to prevent accidents by warning you of a potential front-end collision. It uses advanced radar technology and a dedicated camera to monitor vehicles ahead. Unlike other manufacturers’ warning systems that only watch the car in front of you, this system watches two cars ahead.

If the vehicle in front of you or the car in front of it slows or brakes, this system will instantly provide visual and audible warnings of a potential collision risk if you’re following too close. A complimentary system, Forward Emergency Braking, will actively intervene if you can’t brake in time by automatically applying hard braking to stop your INFINITI almost instantly.

Around View Monitor

This innovative technology uses four cameras, positioned in the front, rear, and on either side, to generate a real-time 360-degree view of the area around your vehicle. If you’re reversing into a parking space, the 260-degree view and the view from the rear camera appear side to side on your information screen, giving you the clearest possible view to ensure safe parking.

The monitor also features advanced Moving Object Detection, which can recognize any movement within sensor range. It then alerts you with a warning tone and an icon that shows the location of the movement.
